Lateral movements, taking, working in two tracks, Manege exercises in which the horse moves simultaneously forward and sideways, while its legs are crossed, and it itself is in most cases evenly curved from head to tail.
The competition in the Manege rides program consists of the assignment of the leg (lateral movement with a reverse resolution when the horse looks in the direction opposite to the direction of movement without lateral bending), the movement of shoulder in, quarter in, renvers and half-pass on the diagonal of the arena. Vaulting (FR. voltiger – to flutter).
Vaulting is a gymnastic exercise performed by an athlete on a horse moving in a circle with a diameter of 12-15 m. (on a cord) at a trot or gallop. If there is a high barrier enclosing the circle, you can do without the cord.
For vaulting, a special saddle or Gurtu is used, the horse’s head is fixed with interchanges. Continue reading
