Race
This is an exciting spectacle, which is followed with unwavering attention and sports passion by fans at the racetracks. But racing is also a serious business that professionals are engaged in: horse breeders, trainers, jockeys.
The main goal of racing is to test the performance of riding horses, to identify the speed, endurance, and desire to get ahead of rivals inherent in each horse.
Test results are taken into account when breeding horses. At 18 Soviet racetracks test horses from two to four years of age, gradually increasing the distance from 1000 m to 4000 m.
The best age of a horse to participate in races is from 2 to 5 years. Together, horses of the same breed or group of breeds that have approximately the same performance are racing. Thoroughbred horses have the highest performance on the racetrack, so they always race separately from horses of other breeds. Almost every thoroughbred can ride a kilometer in one minute.
The best of them successfully participate in the drawing of traditional prizes at the racetracks of fraternal socialist countries, as well as Austria, the Federal Republic of Germany, France, and the United States.
The result of the race depends not only on the ability and readiness of the horse, but also on the skill of the jockey, his ability to distribute the strength of the horse, where you need to hold it, and at the crucial moment to make a powerful leap forward.
