Working on a cord

A method of training and training a horse without a rider, in which it moves in a circle on a cord fastened to a bridle or cap. To support the head and neck of the horse in the desired position, use interchanges that are fastened on both sides, one end to the ring of the trenzel – the other to the ring on the gurte.

The trainer is located in the center of the circle and controls the horse with a cord. Work on the cord begins even during the race by training the horse to obey, developing its reaction to various influences by means of controlling the riding horse. In the future, when working on the cord, they work out the correct free movements at different gaits.

Work on the cord is used for initial training in riding, when a young rider does not yet know how to manage a horse independently.
